The Squirrel Boss bird feeder, brought to you by Squirrel Boss L.L.C., was invented, designed and tested in the Poconos, Honesdale region.

Honesdale Pennsylvania is also the birth place of the American Rail Road. The inventor is an aerospace professional who loves birds and squirrels, but does not love when the squirrels get in the way of the birds.

“Squirrels are extremely cute and they do not know that the food is not intended for them” he says.

Together with his team they combined their ideas to assemble the solar powered, remote controlled compact design using the following “time tested” and “proven” components: Solar panel, circuit board, nickel cadmium rechargeable battery, durable plastic feed tube, stainless steel conductors and feeding stations.

Twenty two months of on site testing and accelerated wear testing in the four seasons of the Poconos have produced the first squirrel proof bird feeder that is safe and totally affective. “For the first time in history we prevail over the pesky squirrel.”

The squirrel receives what is similar to a static shock when a person presses the remote control while the squirrel is touching the feed tube. This can be done while using the remote control from the comfort of your own home. The squirrels dislike the sensation enough that after a few corrections they will stay away. It is similar to walking across the carpet and then touching something. It is harmless but, you avoid it.

The remote control ensures that only a person can correct the squirrel. The remote comes with a holder that can be mounted in a convenient safe place. So, it won’t get lost.
